Fieldwork Takes Off at Texas A&M RELLIS Campus

Last week, our lab team headed out to the Texas A&M RELLIS Campus airstrip to kick off the first in a series of soil and pipeline corrosion surveys. The initiative supports model validation for both sacrificial and impressed current anode systems. Both are critical technologies that protect pipelines from corrosion and prevent costly infrastructure failures.

Beyond the technical objectives, this project also serves as a valuable hands-on training opportunity. Several of our researchers conducted field testing for the first time, gaining practical experience in local conditions before advancing to larger-scale client fieldwork. By combining rigorous field data collection with real-world training, the team is strengthening both our corrosion prevention models and our next generation of field engineers.
